Contact & Collaboration

  • Prose narrative is my go-to form: fiction much more often than non-.
  • I think of myself first and foremost as a novelist (one manuscript, “Tague“, is complete, two others are germinating).
    • That said, my short stories are already out in the world, and an important part of my practice too. And they’re actually short! (not be confused with micro)
    • I’m putting together a first collection, tentatively titled “Sens précoces“. These pieces feature characters who sense or perceive things others don’t.
  • Some throughlines in my work:
    • Je m’intéresse à l’intériorité, à la traduction de l’expérience intérieure et de la pensée par l’écrit.
    • I strive to develop coherent narratologies with a strong sense of voice. Mes narrateurs s’expriment avec ferveur, énergie, un élan.
    • My Everest is superposition: playing with the tools and strategies of language in order to express complexity and surpass contradictions.
  • To me, literature is an art plastique, where the base material (text) is endlessly shapeable. The work of shaping and reshaping is an exercise in what we CAN (do/think/express/feel/etc.). It’s an empowering craft.
  • As a directrice littéraire and editor, my forte is diagnostics and problem-solving. I have a knack for recognizing where a text is flagging, and coming up with ways to get it out of the mire.
  • As an author, my sense of flow is my greatest strength; I cultivate rhythms that usher a reader along to endings that are undeniable.
  • You’ll find whatever I do inflected with my sense of humour, silliness, and snark. I like to highlight the absurd in what limits, and bring levity to what feels fatal. I love to laugh and make laugh.
  • I also doodle copiously.
  • And am a home organization mage.
  • People known and unknown
  • Non-writing disciplines are really cool:)
