CS #001 – Cunningham’s SAB

The long-promised Caesar salad blog is finally here. But, first, les règles du jeu.

PRINCIPLES

  • We do not use lemon wedge in this household. I will not help your dressing if it’s sad. That would be unfair.
  • No ratings. Just words.
  • Categories will come and go. It’s all fluid.

That being said, here is my account of the salad I ordered from Cunningham’s in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue on the afternoon of July 22, 2022.

Be not distracted by the non-Caesar salad in the background.
  • Lettuce: Good amount of crunch.
  • Dressing: Yum.
  • Bacon: Real. Overpowered some bites because certain pieces too big — “invading”.
  • Carb: These tortilla slivers are rotting my socks. No thanks. Croutons pls. Much disintegration on plate and in mouth. Like a packing peanut. One tortilla bit fell on the ground and I felt happy.
  • Parm: Generous.
  • Xtras: Lemon wedge provided. I abstained.
  • Portion: YES.

Mid-meal, I commented aloud that this eating felt “reminiscent of LaRonde…”

I’ve never ordered a salad at LaRonde. Still, it was meant as a positive.
